Real Cubism Series
This artwork is part of my Real Cubism series — a painting style built from square pixel structures rather than traditional cubist geometry.
Each composition is created manually using small square color blocks, forming a bridge between digital pixel aesthetics and traditional acrylic painting. From a distance the image resolves into a recognizable form, while up close the viewer can observe the individual grid units that construct the figure.
The horse symbolizes movement, freedom, and raw vitality. In this piece, the fragmented pixel structure captures the energy of motion while maintaining a strong geometric rhythm across the canvas.
Through bold contrasts and simplified shapes, the figure emerges from the grid as both an animal form and an exploration of how digital visual language can reinterpret classical artistic subjects.
The result balances abstraction and representation, allowing the painting to shift between structured geometry and living presence depending on the viewer’s distance.
Every piece in the series is an original work by Rafael Brango.
