Gorilla
Real Cubism Series
🦍
This artwork is part of my Real Cubism series — a painting approach constructed from square pixel structures rather than traditional cubist geometry.
Each composition is created manually using small square color blocks, translating the visual language of digital pixels into traditional acrylic painting. From a distance the image forms a powerful recognizable figure, while up close the viewer can observe the grid of individual color units that compose the entire piece.
In this work, the gorilla becomes a symbol of strength, presence, and primal intelligence. The pixel structure simplifies the form into bold geometric planes while preserving the emotional intensity of the animal’s gaze and posture.
By breaking the figure into structured square units, the painting explores the tension between organic life and digital abstraction. The result is a portrait that feels both raw and technological — a reminder that even the most natural forms can be reinterpreted through the visual systems of the digital age.
